Mgr Maurice Couture s.v. (1926-2018)

Nous venons d’apprendre le décès de Mgr Maurice Couture, ancien archevêque de Québec et premier membre honoraire de l’AFCA. Il est décédé ce matin à l’âge de 91 ans. Il fut témoin de la création de notre association en 2011 et de sa fondation en 2012. Il admirait beaucoup notre ancêtre.
Il était l’oncle de notre trésorier René Couture.
Toutes nos sincères condoléances à la famille. C’est une grande perte pour notre association.

We have just learned of the passing of Mgr Maurice Couture, former archbishop of Quebec and first honorary member of the AFCA. He died this morning at the age of 91. He witnessed the creation of our association in 2011 and his foundation in 2012. He greatly admired our ancestor.
He was the uncle of our treasurer Rene Couture.
All our sincere condolences to the family. This is a big loss for our association.
